Improved Performance of PV Module by combining two MPPT Techniques

2019
Limited availability of Conventional resources and their fetal effect on the environment forced to seek for alternatives. The renewable energy, specially Photovoltaic (PV) sources seems to be a solution for it, further its abundance availibity makes it favourable over other renewable sources. The PV sources requires an algorithm to track maximum possible power from its module. Several Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithms has been proposed by the authors but they suffers from several transient and steady-state problems. In proposed paper, an enhancement to the basic techniques is introduced by combining IC and FOCV to improve dynamic performances such as fast Maximum Power Point (MPP) tracking speed, less power oscillations at MPP and improved efficiency. The proposed technique is simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK and the results are compared.
