Development of a Method for a Comprehensive Assessment of the Functional State of Power Oil Transformers

2021
The purpose of these studies is to develop a comprehensive method for assessing the state of power oil transformers. For long-term operation of the power oil transformer, it is necessary to comply with all the regulated checks of its technical condition, prescribed in the instructions. The current regulations provide for a daily routine inspection and technical inspection at least once a week. As you know, the heating of the power transformer during its operation is due to the presence of active losses in the windings and the core. With high power transformers, there are impressive heat losses. Oil-based cooling systems are used to prevent overheating of the transformer and damage to the insulation of the coil windings. When the quality of the transformer oil deteriorates, the active losses increase and the efficiency of the power device decreases, which negatively affects the process of converting electrical energy. Based on this, it can be concluded that the quality of the oil directly affects the durability of the power transformer. Thus, the most important functional elements, from the point of view of control, are the transformer oil and the coil of the power device. Based on all of the above, the actual problem of technical control of electric substation transformers is the development of methods and devices for express control of the functional state of power oil transformers, which allow you to quickly obtain diagnostic information sufficient for timely decision - making about the need for unscheduled repairs or maintenance.
