A Parallel Verification Approach for New Technology Application in Complex Radar System

The requirement for applying new technologies in new complex radar systems in the 5G and AI era is more and more urgent. As the key surveillance and early warning sensor, the performance requirements for radar multitasks such as searching, tracking, imaging and classification are higher and higher in modern wars. To handle the high technical risks and rapid new technology application needs, we proposed a parallel Verification approach for new technology application in complex radar system. The technical baseline and parallel verification system within the new applying technology are established and evolved in early conceptual stage of new complex radar system. The virtual verification with simulation/historical data and the real-environment bypass-verification with other in-service are executed to release the high technical risks and make the development process more efficient. What’s more, the verified signal-level models can also be abstracted to the parametric or functional models to support the requirement analysis and system design activities in regular MBSE process, and the parallel verification system itself could be used as a public research platform for domain experts.
