Quality of life is a comprehensive and multidimensional term that establishes itself from a concept that addresses physical health, psychological state, social relations and environment based on subjective evaluations. It is of great importance the social relations since they promote the mental and physical well-being in the third age. The present study aims to evaluate the quality of life of the elderly enrolled in a social integration program. This is a qualitative evaluation research. It has as a means of collecting questionnaires carried out by the researcher and another WHOQOL-BEFF already validated. It was held at a private higher education institution in the city of Teresina Piaui. The results indicated that there was a significant improvement in the quality of life of the research subjects, not only that but also a development of self-confidence and functionality both motor and brain. In addition, the participation of the elderly in these social groups also provides a greater participation in leisure, dance, travel, occupational and recreational activities, and this corroborates the results found in the present research. In this sense, the institutions that propose these programs give individuals greater interaction, social / cultural inclusion and a way to rescue autonomy and the process of healthy living. It was concluded that from the insertion of the Elderly into the social integration program, it interfered positively in their personal, family and social life. Contributing to their quality of life, and in the relationships linked to the rights they assigned, thus enhancing the teaching pattern of the private institution.
