INFLUENCIA DE LA INCORPORACIÓN DE UN ADITIVO "OXO" EN UN POLIETILENO LINEAL DE BAJA DENSIDAD GRADO PELÍCULA

En este estudio, se evaluo el comportamiento fisico-quimico de peliculas de polietileno lineal de baja densidad, con un aditivo pro-oxidante a distintas concentraciones 0,5%, 1% y 2%. Las peliculas fueron sometidas a distintos tiempos de envejecimiento acelerado en un horno. Las propiedades se estudiaron utilizando ensayos mecanicos, calorimetria diferencial de barrido (DSC), termogravimetria (TGA) y espectroscopia infrarroja de transformada de Fourier (FTIR). Se encontro, que luego del periodo de induccion, se presento la banda del grupo carbonilo. El indice de carbonilo aumento con el porcentaje del aditivo y el tiempo de degradacion , tambien se presentaron las bandas caracteristicas del grupo hidroxilo e insaturaciones. La estabilidad termica de las peliculas disminuyo en funcion del tiempo los cambios son mas acentuados para mayores porcentajes de aditivo. In this study, the effect on the physico-chemical behavior of linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) films of the addition of a pro-oxidant additive was evaluated. The concentrations of the additive employed were 0.5%, 1% and 2%. The films were subjected to accelerated aging in an oven. The properties were studied by tensile tests, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetry (TGA) and Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). It was found that after the induction period the carbonyl band was detected. The carbonyl index increased with the percentage of additive and with degradation time. The characteristic bands of the hydroxyl group and unsaturations were also detected. The thermal stability of the films decreased with the percentage of additive as a function of time.
