Application of DC based De-icing Technology in Guizhou Power Grid

Taking Guizhou Power Grid as example,the paper introduces the DC de-icing principles and system utilized in Guizhou Power Grid.Equipments installed in Guizhou Power Grid are analyzed.Temperature rising tests of transmission lines with large DC current by Guizhou Power Grid are given,together with 4 de-icing operations in Guizhou.The economic effect and social effect brought by DC de-icing technology are discussed.It is considered that the application of DC de-icing technology in Guizhou Power Grid is successful.
