Modeling, Simulation and Experimental Determination of the Spine Muscle’s Activities of the Driver

— The aim of this study is to determine the spine muscle activities of the driver. The AnyBody software was used to simulate the human body movements during the drive and to determine the spine muscle activities. To validate the simulation result a temographical experiment was made to register the back muscle activities. The simulation and the termographical experiment proved to be useful tools to determine spine musculoskeletal affections among drivers, and also can be used in the human-based ergonomic design of the vehicle’s interior.
