Energy Education Resources, Use and Promotion

1986
Abstract This study reports the results of a survey of resource center and classroom teachers in order to describe what resources are available, and to document their use; describe what type of teachers implement energy education and why and how they do so; describe the most commonly used energy education materials; and ascertain what the teachers felt would be the best way to promote energy education. It appears that energy education materials are available in the schools but that they are underutilized, a condition that inservice training could perhaps improve. There is almost no consistency in the type of energy materials that are used, and it appears that the implementation of energy education may be more dependent on the administration than the teachers.
