Platelet genetic diseases are heterogeneous disorders, some of them very rare, that occur in clinical medicine, characterized by trobocytopenia, large platelets (macrotrombocitopenias) and variable signs of hemorrhage, as well as thrombosis in other cases. The pathogenesis and pathophysiology is quite unknown and the purpose of this article is to provide a logical structure that summarizes current knowledge. Abbreviations: PQ, platelets.
