A Study of Creative Talent of Teacher-Trainees In Relation To Anxiety

The present study was conducted to explore the rela tionship between creative talent and anxiety of teacher-trainees. It also attempted to compare t he creative talent of students in terms of gender and the level of anxiety. The data was colle cted from 274 students studying in teachertraining colleges affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab, India. Creative Thinking Test by Mehdi (1973) and Sinha’s Comprehensive Anxiety Tby Sinha and Sinha (1971) were used to collect the data. Statistical techniques ‐ Pears on’s product moment correlation and t-test ‐ were employed for analyzing the data. The results r evealed that (a) There is no significant relationship between creative talent and anxiety of teacher-trainees; (b) No significant difference exists in the creative talent of male and female te acher-trainees; (c) There is no significant difference in the creative talent of teacher-traine es belonging to high and low levels of anxiety.
