A cleaning composition being in the form of a stable microemulsion at room temperature, characterized by the fact that it consists of or comprises: (A) 30 to 70 parts by weight of water; (B) 20 to 60 parts by weight of at least one liquid organic solvent at room temperature; and (C) 5 to 30 parts by weight of at least one surfactant of formula (I): (CF DRAWING IN BOPI) wherein: - R1 and R2 each independently represent an alkyl radical, linear or branched C5 - C20; - M is a cation selected from Na (+), K (+) and NR4 (+), R each independently represent hydrogen or alkyl C1-C4; (A) + (B) + (C) representing 100 parts by weight.
