Hard alloy ball end mill

2012
The utility model relates to a hard alloy ball end mill. The hard alloy ball end mill comprises a hilt and a cutting part which is arranged integrally with the hilt. The cutting part comprises arc-shaped cutting edges positioned on one end surface of the hilt, and spiral cutting edges which extend spirally on the peripheral surface of the hilt; the arc-shaped cutting edges are connected with the spiral cutting edges; and the arc angle alpha of each arc-shaped cutting edge is 185-205 degrees. In a cutting process, a cutting tool deflects by swinging of a clamp, the center point of each arc-shaped cutting edge is changed along with the defection of the cutting tool and is no longer limited on the axial center of the mill, and the center point of each arc-shaped cutting edge can be any point on the cutting edge, so that a curved surface and an arc surface can be milled by adopting any point on the arc-shaped cutting edge serving as a center; and therefore the constant use of a certain point on the arc-shaped cutting is avoided, the abrasion of the arc-shaped cutting is reduced and the service lives of the arc-shaped cutting and the cutting tool are prolonged.
