Research in a Department of Medicine in the COVID-19 Era

From March through May 2020, the University of Toronto’s Department of Medicine has faced unique challenges and opportunities for collaboration in medical research to combat COVID-19 The department has relied on its already established network approach to collaboration and has created a new program for funding COVID-19 research in addition to the university’s new funding program The research under way by members of the department will contribute to medicine’s understanding of the pandemic
