Measurement of average cross sections and isomer ratios for natRe(γ,xn) reactions at the end-point bremsstrahlung energies of 30 MeV and 40 MeV
2021
Abstract The cross sections for the natRe(γ,xn) reactions at the bremsstrahlung end-point energies of 30 MeV and 40 MeV have been measured by the activation and the off-line γ-ray spectrometric techniques using a High Purity Germanium (HPGe) detector. The measured natRe(γ,xn) reaction cross sections were compared to the theoretically calculated cross sections using TALYS 1.9 and EMPIRE 3.2 computer codes. The measurements allowed the determination of the Isomeric Cross section Ratios (ICR) for the 182m,gRe and 184m,gRe isomeric pairs. In addition, we have determined a semi-empirical ICR value for the 186m,gRe isomeric pair. These results for the bremsstrahlung end-point energies of 30 MeV and 40 MeV are obtained for the first time.
