Initial Study of Anti-bacterial Activity of Pueraria Lobata Caulis Against MRSA in Vitro

Objective:To study on antibacterial activity of pueraria lobata caulis of different extracts against MRSA in vitro.Methods:The MICs of three kinds of pueraria lobata caulis extracts against twenty MRSAs which are detached from pathogens,were performed by agar dilution method.Result:The MICs range of different extracts against MRSA are respectively,40% alcohol extract was from 10.4 mg/mL to 83.5 mg/mL,in which 20.8 mg/mL was in the majority;water extract was from 20.8 mg/mL to 83.5 mg/mL,in which 41.8 mg/mL was in the majority;and 95% alcohol extract was from 41.8 mg/mL to 83.5 mg/mL,in which 83.5 mg/mL was in the majority.Conclusion:three kinds of pueraria lobata caulis extracts show anti-MRSA activity,and 40% alcohol extract show strongest anti-MRSA activity.
