Cosmology with Love: Measuring the Hubble constant using neutron star universal relations

2021
In this paper, the authors introduce a new way to measure the Hubble constant purely from gravitational wave data, using the binary Love relations, which govern the tidal deformability of neutron stars in an EOS insensitive way. The authors use both real and synthetic data to implement their program and predict an improvement to less than 10 percent accuracy for data from third generation gravitational wave detectors.
