Dynamic Electromagnetic Force Analysis of a Power Transformer with Regulated Windings

Because of the high prices and difficulties to conduct short-current tests of large power transformers, it is meaningful to analyze the dynamic electromagnetic force analysis of the transformer windings through finite element software. Research in this paper presents a model of the 50000MVA/110KV three phase transformer established by COMSOL. Different conditions of short-circuit current are applied to the model, testing the dynamic electromagnetic forces of the transformer windings. Results of the paper may be useful for investigating the winding deformation state prediction.
