The Experimental Evidences, Theoretical Explanations and Policy Implications of Environmental Kuznets Curve

In order to better understand the Environmental Kuznets Curve and get more valuable policy implications, this article reviewed the related research from two aspects: the empirical evidence and theory explanation. Based on the analysis about the Environmental Kuznets Curve model, index and samples of the relevant scholars, we draw some common conclusion, which is great significance for the future research. Moreover, this article elaborates the EKC theory from five aspects, it is easy to find that the economic growth is the premise to realize environmental quality improvement, but environmental policy cannot become the substitute goods of economic growth; system quality influences the implementation effect of environmental policies and directly causes the EKC shape changing.
