A Review and Description of Caligus curtus Müller, 1785 (Caligidae: Copepoda), Type Species of its Genus

The synonomy, known distribution, and hosts of Caligus curtus Muller, 1785 are reviewed. As a basis for comparison with its congeners, a description with illustrations is given. Homology of the thoracopods and functional morphology of the mouth cone and sternal furca are discussed.
