Tunable optical properties with planar metamaterial lens

In this manuscript, a new type of planar metamaterial lens is designed that possesses the optical properties of conventional curved lenses, such as convex and concave lenses. In addition, this study demonstrates that the lens configuration and optical characteristics, such as the focal length and polarity, can be modulated when the planar meta-lens is combined with negative-index media.
