Optimal algorithm for system reconstruction

2002
The problem of reconstructing transmission network after system blackout is thoroughly developed in this paper. The whole process is divided to "series energizing" phase and "parallel energizing" phase, which is solved by "adapted Bellman-Ford" method and "minimum spanning tree" algorithm respectively, both algorithms are polynomial time character, thus can be applied to large power systems. The "adapted Bellman-Ford algorithm" is effective in various situations, such as several sub-systems restore individually or several cranking power sources in one sub-system. With high reliability and flexibility, the algorithm can apply to online reconstruction planning. All the algorithms are verified by the Huabei China power system (1652 nodes and 2103 lines).
