A Novel Interface Device Developed based on MRT for Prosthetic Hand

2020
This paper proposes a novel interface device for prosthetic hand based on muscle redistribution technique. It is a new type of surgery for persons with forearm amputations and the movement of deep muscle can lead to the deformation of skin. It provides the basis of the novel interface of human and prosthetic hand for avoiding the invading the body. Then interface device is designed that combines the flexible tactile sensor and surface electromyography. The gestures recognition method is proposed integration of two types of sensors. Finally, a residual limb simulation device is designed to prove the effectiveness of the tactile sensor for measuring deformation and the proposed device is applied on the wrist level amputation person. The six actions are selected to test and the experimental results show the superior performance of the proposed method.
