Electron Identification from $$dE{\text{/}}dx$$ Measurements in the MPD TPC

A new fast model of energy loss calculation in the TPC gas volume developed and implemented in the MPD Monte Carlo simulation framework is described. The obtained $$dE{\text{/}}dx$$ and resolution dependencies on momentum for different particle species are compared with the STAR TPC measurements. Results on electron identification are presented and discussed.
