PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF COGNITIVE RADIO UNDER SPECTRUM SHARING USING CTMC QUEUING MODEL

2020
Cognitive Radio (CR) is the next generation communication system and it allowing more effective use of the radio spectrum. In Cognitive Radio one of the main challenges is to improve the efficiency of the spectrum by increasing the performance of the Secondary Users (SUs) without degrading the performance of the licensed Primary Users (PUs) communication. In this paper we are proposing a secondary user cluster method based on Continuous Time Markov Chain (CTMC) queuing model to analyse the blocking error probability, dropping probability, throughput and handoff delay of cognitive radio. The proposed model has been theoretically tested and numerical analysis is validated by simulation experiments.
