Research on Automatic Detection of Insulation of Electrical Equipment Based on Infrared Technology

The traditional method of insulation detection of electrical equipment has the situation of omission and error detection, resulting in low detection accuracy. Therefore, a method of automatic insulation detection of electrical equipment based on infrared technology is proposed. Firstly, the infrared image of the electrical equipment is obtained by the infrared thermal imager, and the infrared image is preprocessed and converted into gray image; The noise in gray image is removed by binary method, and the target area is obtained; After that, the infrared image is enhanced to improve the clarity of the target area; Finally, the mapping relationship between temperature and gray level is established, and the high-temperature area of infrared image is obtained by using relative temperature difference method. The design of automatic insulation detection method for electrical equipment based on infrared technology is completed. Compared with the traditional insulation detection method, the experimental results show that the proposed method of automatic insulation detection of electrical equipment based on infrared technology has higher detection accuracy.
