THE RECENT DEVELOPMENT ON PROSTAGLANDIS AND PROSTANOIDS

Summary Prostaglandin’s and prostanoids and their developments in field of medicinal chemistry are amazing. Due to their wide variety of uses and applications; the significant researches have been undertaken. Cyclopentane ring with alkyl chains have known for their excellent SAR studies. In this regard we have attempted to carry on the extensive review on the above topic to explore a treasure of knowledge for their effective therapeutic uses. The present review is confined to discuss the chemistry of prostaglandins and prostanoids; the mechanism and pharmacology of prostaglandins and prostanoids are better understood.
