Electronic control method of brake system of vehicle, and device therefor

1995
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve braking controllability at the time of failure by memorizing a variable to discriminate a state of a brake system and/or a driving state of a vehicle and using the variable as an alternate variable at the time of detecting an error when a braking process is controlled. SOLUTION: A brake system has a braking value transmitter 10 connected to an electronic control device 14 to be actuated by a driver, and pressure in a disc brake 24 is controlled by controlling a pressure control valve 18 by the electronic control device 14 in accordance with its operation and braking pressure of a drum brake 36 is controlled by controlling a pressure control valve 22 respectively. At this time, at the time when actuation of the brake pedal is detected, a driving variable such as a brake signal value, wheel brake pressure, wheel rotating speed, an axle load, brake temperature, an angle of rotation of a brake shaft, etc., is memorized. Thereafter, in the case when an error is detected in the braking process, a memorized nominal variable is used as a substitute variable and control is continued. COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
