RECENT PMS DEVELOPMENT IN FINLAND

The Finnish Pavement Management for national road network of 50,000 km of paved roads consists of separate modules for: (1) data collection and management; (2) network level management; (3) works programming level management; and (4) policy and decision making. This paper presents the implementation of PMS outputs, practical use of PMS at network and project levels as well as role of PMS in the decision making process. The focus is on the recent development of data collection, systems and decision-making procedures. For the covering abstract see ITRD E108018.
