Measurement of Bubble Flow Frequency in Chemical Processes Using an Optical Fiber Sensor

2018
This paper describes an optical fibre sensor based system to measure the interfacial area in a gas-liquid bubble flow to analyze the bubble flow frequency. The optical probe is highly sensitive to the changes in light intensity caused by reflection/refraction during the process of the probe piercing the bubble. According to the high resolution bubble piercing signal, accurate bubble frequency can be computed and acquired.
