This article reviews the history and advances in the field of Urban Forestry has been made in Colombia in the recent past and provides an analysis of the current si­ tuation of the topic supported by the re­ sults of the implementation of a survey of the country’s environmental authorities closer to a diagnosis that takes into account aspects of technical, administrative, and legal which is currently undertaking the administration and tree management in ur­ ban areas nationwide.
