Synthesis and Properties of High Temperature-resisting Organsilicone Modified Cationic Starch Filtrate Reducer

2012
A novel organsilicone-modified cationic starch filtrate reducer(OSCS) was prepared from hexamethyldisilazane, phenyl amine, carboxylmethyl starch(CMS) etc.The filtrate reducer with high temperature-resistant capability was used for drilling fluid.FT IR indicated that both the phenyl cation group and organic silicon functional group were introduced into the structure of carboxymethyl starch(CMS).Furthermore, its thermal stability was characterized by TG-DTA,showing that the decomposition of OSCS was 262℃.The properties of OSCS drilling fluid were studied by portable roller oven and API filter press. The results revealed that the amount of API filtration of OSCS increased slightly after aging 16 h at 170℃.Therefore,the obtained OSCS product has excellent thermal stability and it can be used for deep well drilling below 170℃.
