Formal synthesis of the piperidine alkaloid (±)-prosophylline using polymer-supported dihydro-2H-pyridin-3-one

Abstract The use of polymer-supported 2,6-disubstituted-dihydro-2 H -pyridin-3-one, as the ‘polymorphic’ core molecule for the formal synthesis of the piperidine alkaloid (±)-prosophylline is presented.
