Modern electric drives of single-bucket excavators

Despite the difficulties noticed in this paper, scientific attention continues to focus on the development of competitive direct frequency converters with asynchronous motor excavator drives; on the basis of the research already completed, it may be assumed that this system will completely displace the existing DC drive systems for excavators of bucket capacity up to 10m 3 in the near future.
