Fast current limiting switch

1999
The current limiting switch (S) has a rated current for recording (I¶N¶) certain arc-resistant contact arrangement (K¶1¶) a first switching point (S¶1¶) and two parallel to the first switching point (S¶1¶) connected commutation paths (P¶1¶ and P¶2¶) on. The first commutation path (P¶1¶) includes in series, a contact arrangement (K¶T¶) of a second switching point (S¶T¶) and an electronic power switching apparatus (T). The second commutation path (P¶2¶) includes in series, a switching device (S¶A¶) and a current limiting element (R¶B¶). The contact arrangements (K¶1¶ and K¶t¶) are arranged koaxialsymmetrisch formed and in a pressure-resistant housing (G). Both switching points have very rapid opening and closing electrodynamic drives. DOLLAR A Thanks to the extremely space-saving, coaxial arrangement of the contact arrangements can be avoided unwanted stray inductances. This allows a very fast switching on and off of the current-limiting switch.
