Hardware and software systems for commissioning the D0 detector

Abstract The D0 detector has over 100 000 input channels and over 7000 printed circuit boards distributed across seven major systems. This paper describes some of the hardware and software tools that are being developed to aid in installing and commissioning the detector electronics up to the level-2 trigger system.
