Measurement and analysis of continuous α spectra in proton induced reactions

The continuous spectra of α particles emitted in proton induced reactions have been measured and analysed in the framework of the Exciton Model. A justification of this approach is attempted on the basis of a calculation of p‐α scattering in nuclear matter.
