Frequency stabilization of a femtosecond erbium-doped fiber laser

The frequency of a passively mode-locked Er:fiber laser is stabilized to a microwave frequency standard. The residual frequency fluctuations are 0.3 and 1.8 mHz for the 10 th harmonic of the repetition frequency and offset frequency, respectively.
