Refractivity Data Fusion and Assimilation

Abstract : The goal of the RDFA project is to improve the accuracy and timeliness of estimates of the state of the electromagnetic (EM) propagation environment through (a) the development of the means to estimate atmospheric refractivity from radar clutter observations (refractivity-from-clutter or RFC ), and (b) to develop data fusion (DF) methods to fuse those data with background fields from numerical weather prediction (NWP) models.
