Overview of Cognitive Radio Security Technology

Cognitive radio is to acquire spectrum information by sensing information from the environment through artificial intelligence technology. On the premise of not interfering with the primary user, cognitive radio can access the idle spectrum in real time, change the transmission power of wireless communication system, so as to meet the spectrum requirements of more users and improve the utilization of spectrum resources. However, with the development of cognitive radio technology, it also brings a series of security challenges. Starting from the accuracy and real-time performance of cognitive spectrum sensing, the correctness of spectrum analysis, and the optimization of communication, this paper introduces four security issues, namely, dynamic spectrum access, MAC layer security, artificial intelligence threat and cross layer attack. It also summarizes the existing security solutions and gives suggestions for the security of cognitive radio network.
