DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) negotiation method and client in WiFi (Wireless Fidelity) network

2013
The invention discloses an optimized DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) negotiation method in a WiFi (Wireless Fidelity) network and an optimized DHCP negotiation client in a WiFi network. The invention fully considers factors such as technical features of WiFi terminals and networks and DHCP negotiation scenes and the like, and information of successfully associated WiFi networks and corresponding DHCP negotiation information are stored on the client; when searching the available WiFi network, before being ready to perform DHCP negotiation with the WiFi network, the client searches stored historical records of successful connection, judges whether first connection is to be established, and triggers a proper DHCP negotiation process; if it is judged that the connection to be established is not the first one, the DHCP negotiation information in the historical records is directly utilized to initiate the quick DHCP negotiation process, and thereby a negotiation success rate can be improved; if it is judged that the connection to be established is the first one, then the complete DHCP negotiation process is initiated, and thereby negotiation efficiency can be improved; and therefore, the negotiation efficiency and the negotiation success rate are both covered, the DHCP negotiation method in the WiFi network is optimized, and user experience can be promoted.
