Grains boundary networking interconnection design for robust flexible perovskite solar cell

2021
Abstract Due to perovskite crystal brittleness, the flexibility of perovskite photovoltaic devices arises as one major challenge to be addressed before any practical application of high efficiency perovskite solar cells. We report a new method that monomer ETPTA were introduced into perovskite intermediate phases to address the intrinsic fragility of these materials with mechanically reinforcing grains boundary network. The formation of macromolecular intermediate phases with long chain polymers leads to polymer/perovskite composite cross-linker. The cross-linker network function as a dynamic elastic protective layer over the perovskite grain boundary and yielding excellent mechanical stability against tensile strain.
