Predictive Voltage Control Techniques for AC UPS Applications

The classical model based predictive control leads to a variable switching frequency which could produce resonances in the input filter of the power converter, affecting the performance of the system. This paper proposes a fixed switching frequency model based predictive voltage control for UPS applications and a performance comparative between the proposed control and the variable switching frequency counterpart, showing the advantages and disadvantages among the two strategies.
