Stable resonator solitons in optically pumped semiconductor microresonators

This study shows experimentally and numerically that optical pumping of the semiconductor microresonator up to its lasing threshold increases the soliton stability range and reduces the light intensity necessary to sustain the solitons thereby diminishing destabilizing thermal effect. This paper also discusses the stability of the resonator solitons depending on the nonlinear material response (absorptive/dispersive) when changing the driving field wavelength and intensity, the resonator detuning, and finally the carrier population inversion when using optical pumping.
