Distribution and Characteristics of Main Types of Local Myrica rubra Sources in Guizhou

Guizhou province is rich in Myrica rubra resources including wild,semi-wild and cultivation species which mainly distributes regions with an elevation of 370～1 400 meters and the resources can be divided into four types of red,dark red,red black and white according to their fruit color based on the preliminary survey in Guizhou.Baishui,Dahongshui,Tianjidan and Jinhuang varieties can be developed and utilized in individual local region based on analysis results of their characteristics and economic characters to provide a reference and basis for developing local seasonal fruits.
