Tuning MoS 2 metamaterial with elastic strain

We provide a first demonstration that stress in nanostructured MoS 2 /Si 3 N 4 membranes can lead to substantial reversible changes (more than 150% of relative change) of its optical properties in the visible part of the spectrum.
