Conclusions: The SZ patients exhibited a variety of diffusion abnormalities in the corpus callosum, which were related to the severity of theirpsychoticsymptoms.Totheextentthatdiffusionabnormalitiesinfluenceaxonaltransmissionvelocities, theseresultsprovidesupport for those theories that emphasize neural timing abnormalities in the etiology of schizophrenia.
