Dynamic burn control of a tokamak reactor by fuel injection
1980
A one-dimensional tokamak transport code is used to study the possibility of controlling the operating conditions in a conceptual reactor by varying the injection rate of neutral particles at the plasma boundary. By using transport parameters currently suggested for reactor studies it is shown that control is possible. The main parameter determining the feasibility of this scheme is the ratio of the energy and particle containment times.
