Dry deposition flux of air sulphur at a typical red soil area-with Jiangxi Red Soil Station as example.

2001
The concentrations of SO\-2 and SO\+\{2-\}\-4 in air were observed on farmland at Yingtan, the typical red soil area of Jiangxi Province.Based on data provided by the automatic meteorological station of China Ecosystem Research Network, the dry deposition velocity of SO\-2 and SO\+\{2-\}\-4 was calculated using a resistance model, and the dry deposition flux of sulphur from the atmosphere to the farmland ecosystem was estimated. The results showed that the average dry deposition velocity(Vd)of SO\-2 and SO\+\{2-\}\-4 was 0\^43 and 0\^23cm·s\+\{-1\},respectively.The Vd of SO\-2 and SO\+\{2-\}\-4 in the daytime was significantly higher than that at night, and the highest velocity occurred in the afternoon. The total annual dry-deposition flux of sulphur inputted to farmland ecosystems was 13\^4g ·m\+\{-2\}.
