Some Steelmaking Process Simulators and their Application

Abstract Process simulators which imitate the movement of various steelmaking processes using computer are used for investigation of the design of steelmaking plants, operation support and control system design, and are useful in plant engineering and the development of production and control technology. As we have developed many simulators on mini-computer and main-frame for examination of control systems in the steelmaking processes, we give outlines of them at first. And we mention main simulators which we have ever developed. We touch upon the structure of simulation model, numerical model, result of simulation and it's application about coke oven, reheating furnace, hot rolling Mill and plate cooling process.
