Tópicos para (re)pensar os rumos para a educação infantil (pós)pandemia

This paper situates the importance of recovering the principles that guided the creation of Early Childhood Education in Brazil in order to (re)think possible routes for the first stage of Basic Education now and after the sanitary crisis, especially in such a moment as the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Three fundamental topics were selected so we can redimension education for young children after thirty years: the relation between teaching and taking care of children; the Early Childhood Education as an integrated space; and the teacher training for young children education. The fragilities of Early Childhood Education have been unveiled by the pandemic and has demanded strategies that reassure the educational system as a social organization, as a space where babies and young children can meet with culture, science, technology, the environment, art; as a place that thickens and creates life. Learnings regarding what has been lived among the uncertainties of a pandemic demand new leads regarding the early childhood education consolidation.
